Bakhtar Development Network with close coordination of Provincial Public health directorate (PPHD/MoPH) marked Community Health Worker’s Day in Hirat, Balkh , Baghlan and Sare pul provinces; the celebration hold on 5th December 2016 in above mentioned provinces. CHWs, Community Health Supervisors, Family Health action group members, Provincial Public health directors, Provincial consuli member, related development departments and stockholders participated in this important gathering.
The slogan, which has been identified and selected, was; Community health workers symbol of service, volunteerism and dedication in Afghanistan’s health system.
The observation includes; coving H.E Minister of Public Health massages by Provincial public health director, recognition of best performed Community health workers at provincial level and providing them with gift and appreciation letters.
BDN is currently having 3225 CHWs in mentioned provinces (Herat, Balkh, Baghlan, Sar-e-Pul and Daikondy), which are performing an effective role through achieving desired vision and mission of the organization.
